Pretty good looking wheels.

That car was at SEMA, I talked to the marketing guy for quite a while. He was actually interested in my critique of the car. I tried to be a diplomatic as I could considering the amount of money and resources poured into it.
The primary market is Corvette dealers. A dealer sends N2A Motors a C5 with a big fat check. N2A sells the parts that are removed and gives a $2K allowance for wheels. This is what they get back. I'd categorize this as the idea that should have stayed on the beer stained bar napkin at Chili's. Though, I'm sure there's a certain group that reveres this as a Mona Lisa on wheels. I just don't happen to be one of them. With some changes, it may have "some" potential though. The colors absolutely have to go, Aqua screams mid '90s. There's also something really awkward about the color break step down as your eye moves from the rear to the front. The trim is definitely way over the top along the side and I don't think the car had to be so literal when it came to imitating styling cues from 57-8-9. Would I buy it? Probably not. |
FUGLY!

There may be a market for these kinds of builds but the execution of the body styling always falls apart on these "designs". The Chevelle on the 2004-2007 GTO was another example of a car where the proportions just didn't work very well. Do they use actual automotive design and styling guys for these before they pour all the money in the tooling? I'd be curious to see how they developed the idea from idea to finished product.

Ya know...I was lookin at this car and thinkin of coming up with something witty to say....
Thats is plain ugly. Baby Possum ugly in Blueberry Douche Blue. |
Why waist a corvette for that?

I actually spoke to the "designer" and looked at his sketches. He had some drawing ability but I really think a lot of the aesthetic execution issues could have been worked out in a scale model. Totally agree with the modern Chevelle. It looks like it was forced. Great idea, but needs some refining. |
It looks pretty cool if you like ugly ass cars but to each his own;)
|
It kind of reminds me of a, "Jerry Springer Show", with a title that includes the word, "Transgender".:wow:
....and looks about like the person who would be discribed as such. tyoneal |

Someone will buy it. Hopefully they won't live in my neighborhood so I won't have to look at it too often! Are they selling the 62 retro vette body thingies that were shown at SEMA the last several years? Don't you just look at stuff like this and say, "man, I wish they would have used those resources to develop something that "I" could use on my own car, like a killer front splitter for my 70 Camaro???"
