WOW, Congrats Scott, you must be excited. Are you keeping the twin turbo setup?

awr68 02-06-2007 08:57 PM

Nice, Boss Man!!!! Was it a bolt in deal?? And what about the twins???

907rs 02-06-2007 08:57 PM

Looks right at home between those frame rails.

XcYZ 02-06-2007 09:12 PM

Rob White bought the NRE 434 from me, so it's staying in the family, so to speak.

The LS7 fits perfect with the stock dry sump oil pan. No clearance issues anywhere.

zbugger 02-06-2007 09:15 PM

Nice. And you can go with the RS front end now too.......:_paranoid

awr68 02-06-2007 09:33 PM

ahhhh, I love it when a plan comes together...RS front end and all!!!

Congrats to Rob as well...did he get all the TT parts?

rockdogz 02-06-2007 09:33 PM

Sweet! You'd better hurry up now... take much longer and you'll be swapping that out for an LS9!!

You'll beat me. You're still shooting for Autorama, right? When you fire it up, be sure to shoot some video.

Hi Tony Thanks. The Turbos? Well, in a way, yes I did.... a while back, I bought the same banks TT setup from Jim Hall. (I also bought Scotts D+D T56, McLeod twindisc, Ron Davis Intercooler setup, and BS3).

I gave my wife a big hug. I'm still not sure if she actually hugged me back....

Congrats Scott on the new LS7 and thanks for a great deal. The NRE 434 is liking the relatively warm winter weather over here.

Well, I've officially thrown in the towel on Autorama. I just couldn't make enough things happen all at once to make it. Oh well, just means I can be a little more paticular on the reassembly. It's still moving forward at a pretty rapid pace and should be completed some time late March, early April. Now I've got my sites set on Super Chevy show first weekend in May, in Columbus. We have a pretty big show here on the same weekend at the GM tech center. Decisions, decisions. Hope to see yours up and running soon:thumbsup:

There is no completion date. He is like any other tradesmen. A carpenter always owns a home never completed. A house painter has paint peeling form the outside of his house and it has been that way for years. Scott has a internet g-machine network and his car sits at home unfinished for years and years and years.

Remember he wants to repaint the car too. My own car took some 30 years to complete. Who know's I could be dead and have dirt thrown over me by the time he is finished.

Sorry Scott, that should motivate you.....

R.P.

Stuart Adams 02-08-2007 09:33 AM

Very cool Scott. Your car will be really cool. I guess now you could wait to the end of the build to decide on RS or not.

Congrats, you deserve it.

Here's a set of the brand new LS headers from Art Morrison that they have for their new subframe. Very, very nice piece.

Dave95z28 02-09-2007 10:46 PM

I wonder if there is any possibility of them offering them in 1 7/8" tubing or larger for those considering running 408+ cubes.

Dave

Sweet change in direction Scott.
W.

Roger Poirier 02-10-2007 10:44 AM

Scott,

The novice that I am, are you going to put the turbos back on this engine? If not will this engine / front end build be a similar set up to what Steve has at PHR?

R.P.
