Help me pick some wheels on a budget!!
Ok guys,
I'm working out a sale on my current bc forged wheels, I want to budget and spend less that 2000 on a set of wheels. Maybe 2500 if I really like them. Looking for 18x9.5 and 18x8s. Haven't priced too many wheels out yet, but Right now i'm thinking about budnik lateral. http://www.budnik.com/assets/250/Lateral.jpg budnik knuckle http://www.budnik.com/assets/250/Knuckle.jpg I'm hoping they fit into my price range, right now i'm really leaning towards lateral. Any other suggestions? Derek |
Also been looking at some boze forged.
Mesh http://www.bozeforged.com/images/wheels/ze/mesh_bg.gif Tach http://www.bozeforged.com/images/wheels/ze/tach_bg.gif I'm sure most of these wheels are going to push my budget, but I'm fine with spending a little more as long as I'm happy with it. Derek |
Hi Derek,
I'm sure Frank is going to chime in with a quote on the Boze, and Tim from PRRC for the Budniks. Good luck with either wheel. I'm sorry that one of the Intro wheels I quoted didn't work out for your. If you change your mind, let me know. |
Hey Derek, Jon was right. We almost. We can help you out with the Budnik or the Boze. And We can stay with in your budget.
The lateral will be the least of the 4 you posted.Although not by much. All 4 of the wheels you posted come standard fully polished. Some of them have a brushed finish on them. They run alittle more to to that way but give them a nice contrast. We will be happy to give you a price all all 4 you posted. You can see all the wheel lines we carry on our web sight www.paradiseroadrc.com Send me a P/M and I will get you some great pricing. Tim Thanks Jon. |
Ok working out the quote, any other opinions on designs? The car will be a blue 67 if that matters. Please let me know what you guys think.

I do like the bonspeed intense as well, but like most of the other wheels i've posted better. Thanks for the suggestion Frank.

Do the Boze wheels come in standard lip design? I can't picture the fat lip design looking good on my car.

Those Weld NASCAR wheels are definetly the best looking roundy-round wheel, but you can only get them in a 15x9.5, 5x5 wheel, with 4.5 bs. And they aren't DOT approved. Can you tell I've been looking at NASCAR wheels:yes:
edit: can't spell |

Budnik Lateral or the Boze Tach gets my vote.

Nascar wheels
Those nascar wheels are built lighter than a DOT wheel, The real world has potholes and nasty surface inperfections that cause the center to crack out and break. Most racetracks are smooth. I have seen people use them on the street and be ok... but I've also seen them break in as little as a month of normal street driving.

Intro
1 Attachment(s)
I just picked up a set of these Intro's yesterday for my 1970 Camaro project in 17". They are a brushed aluminum center, and polished rim, like how the Lateral is photographed. Pricing in an 18" would be very reasonable. Let me know what you think, I'll post a photo of my exact wheel tomorrow after the brushing is done. And I'm sure they could make it in Soft Lip, or starndard, depending what you want.
