The "Red Menace" in Print.....
Come'on "Velvet"....Spill it for everyone else!
Show us how those Aussies love PT cars..... p.s. "Red Menace" is just my name for it... :D |
Red menace. lol I don't have a given name for it, but I have called it a few names on occasion. :willy:
Anyways, getting to what Jeff is talking about, an Australian magazine did a 5 page spread on my project. It looks pretty cool, all the pages are red and have white Z stripes going horizontal across the pages. |
Thats awesome Scott...been a good week for you and the car! And so modest about not telling us...come on, we cant get Aussie mags, so scan that article up here when you can.
Congrats Tim |
Does this mean we can call you "Velvet"?
|
No. Although it does sound pimp. lol

How about 'Velvet Revolver'. Didn't they do the song 'Twilight Zone'?
Scott, you'll need some velvet ropes to put around the car for shows and stuff. :D Congrats on the spread! |
Scott,
That is amazing! I keep hearing Eddie Murphy in Coming to America... " hhhheeeyyy that's nice.. whats is that, velvet?" |

Thats cool. It will be neat to see how may new Aussie members it brings. :) |
Wow! Great layout. Similar to the article that was done here in the U.S. Great concept. Let's do a car feature and tear the magazine car apart all in the same article. Really puts the whole magazine car thing in perspective.
|
Congrats, Scott! When I start collecting posters of the cars around here, I'll need one of yours in the new RS version!
|
ooops
Sorry, I meant "Velvet"! :P
|
How cool is that?
Press from around the world? How cool is that! Jeff's recent mag article was also way cool, but it made for some harder reading ;)
Atleast I can read this one  What was that saying about an iron fist inside of the velvet glove? G'day mates! |
I like the layout. Magazines need to be more creative now a days.
Tyler |
Hey all,
Definitely glad I bumped into Scott on the Internerd, his car is one wicked piece of machinery. The mag is actually called Performance Buildups and has been around for over 15 years now. I've only recently taken over as the Editor, but it should be a bit of fun. I'll hopefully be in the US again later this year so I'd love to check out a stack more cars! Oh and if anyone does want to buy to the mag, it's pretty cheap for US buyers because your dollar is stronger. Head here http://www.universalshop.com.au/univ...=6218&pid=6026 Thanks Boxer |
Have you tought about coming to Europe?
We have a lot of cool cars over here. I think my Totyota ProStocker was in an Australian magazine 20 years back. Jan |
