The Bubbletop in PHR

Did you guys see Jeff's Buick in the latest PHR? What a great action shot. :D

Congrats, Jeff!

Stuart Adams 03-13-2007 05:58 AM

Awesome Jeff. Cool car, cool dude.

SpeedyV10 03-13-2007 06:01 AM

Congrats, Jeff! How 'bout a pic???

XcYZ 03-13-2007 06:14 AM

Here's a low res version pic. I was taking the pics from Reckley's SUV... That's Brent (Ricochet) in the passenger seat and Jody (Camcojb) in the back seat. If I had known one of the pics was going to be used in a magazine, I would have done a lot better job in taking the picture(s).

I think I took some video on this stretch of road, too. It just looks so damn nice rolling down the road.

XcYZ 03-13-2007 06:38 AM

I'm not sure. lol It was somewhere between Stielow's place and Woodward Avenue.

I know we were driving east. lol

Ummgawa 03-13-2007 07:13 AM

That is too sweet. Pivot man, another home run on the automobile.

camcojb 03-13-2007 07:18 AM

not bad for an original paint car! It even has the date coded original plug wires. Runs and looks great, and garnered a LOT of attention on Woodward.

Jody

That's the original paint ? No one can argue that Detroit didn't make some sweet rides... That Buford is awesome.

I just received my copy of PHR. Darn Jeff you have way with making great looking cars. Being your 69 Camaro and now finding out of this world ride bubbletop. Guys you need to see the car to appreciate it. Yes it's that nice.

Who took the photo? Who are the two ugly guys in the car with you? I did notice the photo was taken on Maple Rd. in Birmingham, My old neighborhood.

R.P.

I just bought this car.....

So there is a bit of a story to me and this car. When Jeff had it for sale back in 2007 I really wanted to buy it. Two things stood in the way. An Australian to US fx rate of only 87 cents and the price Jeff was asking. It would have been over $50K landed at my door which was more than I could fund (while pooring way way to much cash into my Camaro).

Oh and the wife wasn't a fan

Anyway since then I've regretted it. It was heard telling Jeff the sales wasn't going ahead with me

It came back up on ebay a few months ago with a BIN of $30K watched it and it bid up to $27K

Then 4 weeks ago went up again no reserve.

It's had 3,000 miles added in 5 years

I got it for $20K (fx 97 cents)

It's currently in LA awaiting shipping to Australia.

It will become my daily driver.

Going to drop a Howell or AFI fuel injection on it, March serp kit, new rad and thermos, general tidy up of fluids, bushes and bearings etc then drive it

I drive 100 miles round trip to work and back every single day. I know a car of this vintage in such pristine condition probably shouldn't be a daily...but I don't buy / build these cars to sit in the garage....

Still one of my fav shots of this car....(from 2007)
