Bullrun

Hey guys thanks for the tips and advice given to me here. We ran the Bullrun along with Mr. Angry Mike Musso!!

Watch me and my brother in the premier of Bullrun on Spike TV tonight at 10pm. Set your VCRs, Beta max, DVDr, DVR, or whatever other setup you got if you wont be around a TV. This show will blow your mind.

My brother and I are using his very, very rare 1975 Hurst/Olds W30, 1 of only 48 known to still exist. This 700 horsepower monster (land yatch!) in its current form its worth close to $100k and we beat the hell out of it!!! Watch us as we take on cars like Lamborghini, Lotus, and Mr. Angry's awesome 68 Dodge Charger.

I have been looking forward to this!! Thanks for the reminder!!

71Nova 03-14-2007 12:03 AM

Dang, I can't believe no one has posted here since my last post. Just watched the show. I loved it. Very cool!! My wife even loved it. She said that she wants me to hurry up and finish my car. Looks like a lot of fun. Dude, I can't believe you did not have your license with you. Good luck on the rest of the competition.

CraigMorrison 03-14-2007 06:26 AM

Dude, where was your license?

Good show so far!

XcYZ 03-14-2007 06:32 AM

I missed it. Maybe I can catch a rerun sometime.

mdprovee 03-14-2007 07:38 AM

I recorded it, will watch it this weekend.

So much for the killing light bulb course. Bet you guys were happy that the mustang was afraid to drive the course and went out for a summer drive instead!

Rich Team11 H/O 03-14-2007 07:01 PM

Thanks guys, yeah they edited so much stuff out, but it was still good.

I was so pissed at my brother after that challenge, I verbally assaulted him in front of everyone, they taped it but I guess they decided to edit it all out.

Truth is he had gotten sick and had the chills, he nearly collapsed at one point. That night nearly everyone got sick, cast and crew, due to how cold it was and the lack of sleep and all the stress. Even Goldberg got sick.

You can see the whole episode, deleted scenes and photos on the www.Spiketv.com site.

Cool! I know someone fameous now.
I loved the show. I thought it was great.

Haaa haaa haaaa, those silly girls got booooooted.

I like Civic and the Charger oh and your Olds
It is kind of fun to see those two dudes thrash their Lambo up, I like the burn out donut twirls they did, very cool.

Flying Scotsman 03-14-2007 08:25 PM

I just watched it...thought it was pretty good
Your Olds rocks!
Definate 'record series' on my DVR!

Diognes56 03-15-2007 03:11 AM

MrAngry 03-15-2007 07:14 AM

Honestly, I don't think I've ever experienced cold like that in my life... it sucked.

Make sure you guys catch it next week... you'll see my 68' Charger cause' some havoc:thumbsup:

mdprovee 03-15-2007 07:56 AM

Watched it last night. Pretty cool show.

atomicjoe23 03-15-2007 09:17 AM

I watched it last night. . .not too bad. . .my wife also wants me to finish up (actually start and finish) my '67 Bird so that she can do something like that as well. . .glad to see the girls in the Scion get the boot. . .hopefully the Honda will be next!!! After that the Beemer can go and then I won't have any complaints about who does how well. . .although I do expect the Lambo to break before the end of the competition!

rockdogz 03-15-2007 09:18 AM

Cool... I liked it! :D

Rich Team11 H/O 03-15-2007 11:17 PM

You can see my Jeeps and me doing some Jeep welding! Take note the height difference in my two Jeeps.

CraigMorrison 03-21-2007 07:17 AM

Watched the show last night    Good episode! Loved your reaction to the guy pumping your gas. Last year we did a cruise from our shop in Tacoma WA down to LA and drove some of the same roads you were on. It was nice though, when 9 hot rods pulled into a gas station all at once, the pump jockeys usually let us pump our own gas while they looked at the cars.

That Lambo looks a little rough.....its like the Gumball cars that go on Ebay after the rally....Would you really want to buy a car that you know has been hammered on that hard?

XcYZ 03-21-2007 07:27 AM

Crap, I missed it again.

CraigMorrison 03-21-2007 08:15 AM

Check your listings- I think its replayed quite a bit.

Speedster 03-21-2007 08:35 AM

Cool episode. Yeah, nice touch telling the guy off at the gas station. I just wish the Lambo would have blown the clutch. Those guys seem pretty arrogant.

+1

T Bell 03-21-2007 11:33 AM

yeah this dude sounds arrogant in his ebay listing. "I guess the Porsche Cheyenne will have to do. I spent $10,000 on a new clutch. Other Lambo owners say is powerful but what would I know, I only owned 3 in the last year". Get a clue and turn a wrench yourself.

bmxmon 03-21-2007 05:10 PM

I wanted to check that out, but I have missed it so far. I just tried to watch it on their website, but it was too choppy for me, which doesnt make sense since I have 3mg (is that how I write it??) internet connection.

MarkM66 03-21-2007 05:57 PM

How surprising, a Lambo with a bad clutch, .

JamesJ 03-21-2007 06:30 PM

I think that it is more surprising that a "Lambo" driver burned a clutch up, not that the Lambo burned its clutch ;)

shanekennedy 03-22-2007 05:50 AM

not trying to offend fans of the show

but i thought it was lame

looked like another 1 of those great-american-race/surviver type shows my wife & mother-in-law watch

i took the show out of the dvr schedule after the 1st episode. it'll prolly get much better now that i'm not watching.

Still in the game, just flying under the radar in stealth mode, but things are heating up as you can see.:unibrow:

71Nova 04-07-2007 11:05 AM

Glad to see you guys are still there as well as Mr Angry. Hopefully a muscle car will win. About time the Lambo guys went home. I couldn't believe that he didn't run the challenge just because he didn't want to. Why did he sign up for the show?

Thanks!

I spoke to Jeff about his decision, he was upset about having to pass on the challenge but he said "when am I going to decide its enough, when I have no car left?" He just wanted to cut his losses, the car was a real disaster by the time he got elminated, he gave it his all, but abused the car a little too much. Even if you dont count the value of his car, he suffered the most damages.

My brother and I may have been in the same boat had I not kept reminding him not to go around show-boating and risk breaking the car. We had swapped in a new rear the morning before the Hurst was shipped out to Montana to begin the rally, the reason: the rear that was in there exploded. So we tried to be very gentle...as gentle as you can be with 550hp + 150hp shot of laughing gas. :)

I've been watching the show and really enjoy it. Your brothers car is sweeeet. I'm hoping one of the muscles win it.:woot:

NOS Super Power Shot with an Edelbrock blanket. This thing was installed literally minutes before the car was taken to Montana and in fact I had to finish the electrical once we got there.

We actually tried to obtain an NX plate because the NOS system we had was a universal kit and did not come with so we drove all over NY trying to find one on that last day of our build up. We tried to get one of the NX Pro-power plates or a Nitrous Express annular discharge plate but we learned that they did not make one for the blueprinted Rochester that my brother VERY foolishly installed back into the car instead of the Carburetor Shop Holley racing carb that had been dyno tuned to that engine :( One of our biggest follies.

Finally #1!!! :woot:

mdprovee 04-11-2007 07:38 AM

Congrats on the number 1. Too bad for the BMW guy losing his uncle. Not the way you want someone to leave.

Isn't that always the case? You never have enough time to get a car finished for things like this. Congrats on the #1 slot!

Great speech on how New Yorkers deal with people. Loved it.
