That was hillarious! Just saw it on the news a little while ago.

mazspeed 03-27-2007 08:39 AM

Eddie Griffin was driving.

GHOSTDANCER 03-27-2007 08:40 AM

mdprovee 03-27-2007 09:05 AM

Ooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuch!

CraigMorrison 03-27-2007 09:21 AM

A great example of a car being too much for the driver. The Enzo is proving this time and time again.

Save the Enzos!

Payton King 03-27-2007 09:45 AM

So you are doing a charity event with a high end

car and inexpierenced drivers...and you are going to have a concrete barrier not 30 feet off of a fast right hander?

I wonder who is paying for that one

Rybar 03-27-2007 10:01 AM

OMG I almost had a heart attack. :wow: Poor car, definately looks fixable for a small fee.

HAULNSS 03-27-2007 10:41 AM

Dang it. :soapbox:

Now the prices will soar and I'll never be able to get one. :_paranoid

I guess I will have to look at some other cars in the $1.5M range.......

Randy

Scotch 03-27-2007 11:01 AM

LOL - Hardly "one less Enzo"... You know they'll fix it.

...and then, Eddie will autograph the wrecked parts, they'll go on eBay as part of the movie promotion, and they'll end up MAKING MONEY off this stupidity.

What are ya? New? This is how they roll in Hollywood.

Yeah, this was probably part of a promotion for the movie... :_paranoid

Some needs to buy the drivetrain and put it in a muscle car:unibrow:

rwhite692 03-27-2007 02:59 PM

Man...It was like watching someone who had never operated a car before.

If only I had the money. Well, actually, money & time. :unibrow:

jack67rs 03-27-2007 05:30 PM

While watching this clip my local news just showed a not so lucky driver losing control of a viper and slamming into a semi trailer. You could just make out the red intake and valve covers, the rest of the car was gone!

rjp71 03-27-2007 05:34 PM

I like that the guy on the other side of the barrier never flinched when the Enzo crashed into it.

While not the Enzo drivetrain, there is a 60 Rambler wagon being built up here in the Pacific NW with Ferrari F360 drivetrain, interior and suspension.

That guy (photograper?) has some pair. he barely moves.

Being a Rambler fan that Ferrari engine deal is nice piece, saw that a couple years ago in build section of some mag. Done yet?

G-Body 03-27-2007 08:23 PM

Whata Dumb ASS! and to top it off the car belonged to the executive producer, and came from his private collection,
And oh if your familar with these cars you just cant go pay 1.2 for another one you have to be on THE list to even own one by owning at least two previous F cars wow, Like he said the brother knows karate he knows how to dance but this brother cant DRIVE lol

ironworks 03-27-2007 10:23 PM

Rodger

Payton King 03-28-2007 05:28 AM

Must be a publicity stunt. He didn't move because he knew it was coming. This is a charity event to promote the movie Redline, where many high end cars get wrecked.

AAW 03-28-2007 08:32 AM

On one of those celebrity news websites, it said:
"Eddie Griffin's ultra-expensive crash in a $1.5 million Ferrari Enzo has been all over television and the Internet today, but could the pricey wipeout really be a brilliant marketing ploy?

In the video obtained by CBS2 News in Los Angeles, it shows the car slamming into a concrete barricade. But, to quote Dr. Henry Lee from the O.J. Simpson case, "Something wrong."

Roll the video and take a close look at the guy standing next to the concrete barrier. He doesn't even flinch as the car comes near. Also, it's pretty interesting that after the crash, Griffin joked it up, saying, "Undercover Brother's good at karate and all the rest of that, but the brother can't drive."

This isn't the first time that one of Daniel Sadek's high-priced cars have been wrecked. During production of his movie, "Redline," two of the producer/real estate investor's expensive Porsche Carrera GTs were totaled during filming. One of the collisions was designed as a stunt. The other was an accident.
Saw it here

Steve Chryssos 03-28-2007 08:56 AM

That's what I said.

Steve Chryssos 03-28-2007 08:59 AM

I count five high dollar "exotics" being crashed in the trailer alone. Yeah right. Somewhere in SoCal is a dude with a knack for fiberglass work and a parking lot full of fieros, 76 vettes and VW beetles.

RECOVERY ROOM 03-28-2007 06:37 PM

Craig what shop is working on that rambler?,that is going to be one bad a## ride.looks like top notch work.Did you guys build any of the frame?

CraigMorrison 03-29-2007 05:30 AM

Tim Divers Street Rods is building the car. One of the last "big" cars Tim did was a 39 Pontiac that had our chassis, Magnacharged LS6, black chrome and a Mitsubishi Eclipse convertable top. The car was incredible!

Yes, the Rambler has one of our custom frames under it, as well as the 40 Ford with the Ford GT engine.

Rybar 03-29-2007 10:55 AM

Guys check out this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62VmJ...elated&search=

The owner of the car/producer of the movie is interviewed as well as Jermaine Dupree and they were smurking during the interviews: "it is what it is" I think this guys just wrote off an Enzo to promote his movie. If I ever met this guy I would punch him right in the teeth as hard as I could.
