Head swap almost complete!! (pics & vid)
Hey guys, been slowly working on a head swap on the LS1 over the winter on my car. Thought I would show an update with pictures and a vid. I installed ETP 215 heads, 1-3/4" Stainless Works LT's, ported the TB, 36# injectors, ATS's new T56 cross member, and am now getting a new full polished stainless steel exhaust built. (2.5" w/ X-pipe) ...shooting for 450 rwhp N/A after a tune.
Here's a vid from this morning. The car is idling with open headers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxEgUMZqJbE Here are some pics of the head swap: http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...20head%20swap/ |

Sweet! I wish YouTube didn't have such crappy compression, it certainly doesn't do your car any justice!

What cam did you go with? I agree with scott, the vid did not do your car justice...still a very, very nice ride.

Cam is a TSP 233/239 112
I find Youtube an easy way to upload a vid. If you guys have any other suggestions, let me know. Thanks for the compliments  |
Geezzzz i know a place that could have done that exhaust?????

Music to my ears!!

Sounds sick but in case someone reading does not know be very cafeful about running open headers with an injected car. I learned the hard way on my 98 TA. I almost killed a fresh motor because the open headers made the ECM think it was lean and kept dumping more and more fuel. Always make sure the O2's are disconnected so it will stay in open loop untill the exhaust is on.

Sweet car and exhaust man, can you tell me what you are running from the headers back? Size and brand. Also I'd love to hear that new exhaust.

Reason I went custom was I wanted the the rear exit system with 3" tips and X-pipe. Could not find a kit that fit these specs. |
