I just ordered up a set of these

Thanks Mike!

These sound like the best deal going for a halogen light...especially with glass lenses.

I will let you know how they work.

Mike,

Do you happen to know of anyone making these for the smaller Hi/Low (T3 style) beam headlights for the 67 a-bodies?

I have them in the smaller 5 3/4" lights and come with 9007 hi/lo bulbs and a pigtail that will plug directly into you existing harness. I am trying to find a replacement bulbs so you would not have all 4 lights on all the time. A relay will be highly recommended with these. Once I get a satidfactory system put together I will be releasing a "kit" for the chevelle/firebird/etc.

Bob, Hope this isn't too dumb, but how does the light output / beam quality compare with the readily available 7" sealed beam halogens?

Please let me know when you finish developing this system, I will be the first one in line! I can see sh*t with the original T3's that are in it now.....Even with the HIGH beam on

Different light pattern, that is brighter. I keep meaning to make a test shot to show the difference but have not had the time.

You can return them and I will even return the shipping costs since it was my mistake. Payton did not mention any issues on his '69 install. I will double check them against my '68 here. Call me Tuesday.

I checked them against my 68 Camaro last night and yes the boot interfered with the bucket opening just enough it would not go through. The buckets will require a slight opening of the hole about 1/8" all the way around to keep from cutting the boot. Just send them back and I will take care of it.

A-body Chevelle Kit Ready?

Read through most of the threads and it appears that there isn't a A-body kit/size availble. Is there a projected time that I should check back in. I have a 1969 Chevelle - would like to brighten up the lights. I'd bee looking to purchase/have them late sept early oct (any chance).

We are working on the 5 3/4" 4 light kit now. I got one out there but had a few minor issues we are trying to fix first. We should have something ready when you are ready to order.

Mike

I'm looking to reassemble the car the first week in October in order to be ready for the last major car show in the Raleigh NC area (mid to late Oct = at Henderson NC - perhaps Goodguys at Chrl.) The latest I could wait is last week in Sept or first week in Oct. Of course I can order now if avail.

OPG has some 5-3/4" lights w/Xenon bulbs (part# CH25130 and CH25132). I'm not 100% clear on the pricing but it appears your pricing may be cheeper for an equal/better product. Not to put you on the spot but can you commet breifly on what may make your's different ... I've seen the pictures and am hopeful you'll have a kit.

Although the cost of our setup will be more, you get a lot more for your money and it is not the same product. The ones we are selling now are the crystal clear lense style and are a glass lense. OPG site says you may have to cut the core support to clear their lights which is rediculous. With these, you may have to only open up slightly the headlight bucket where the bulb connection is, no drilling 2" holes in the core support. Our kits will also include a relay kit to make the most of your new headlights so they work at their best for better visiblity and saftey. The 7" kits are $129, and the 5 3/4" kits once released will be around $229 and will include 4 lights, relay kit, and instructions. Oh......and they are DOT legal.

Here is a pic of Steve Linn's Lemans with the 4 light setup. He has the only set out there from us at the moment and is helping us work out the bugs.

DHARROD 08-14-2007 07:24 AM

OK (sold) -- I'll try and monitor your web-site and this forum - I'm ready to order so don't hesitate to send me an email a [email protected] when the kit is ready. As stated I won't actually put them in the car until late Sept .. let me know if I can place an order now with a ship date prior to October. If the kit works well I may have 4 other chevelle owners lined up. Their waiting to see how mine turns out.
