did it in a 2 car

Just thought you guys might like to know this car was built in my 2 car attached garage. With a little help from my 10 year old daughter, dad, and a couple of great friends. I took the car to work just to spray the outside, all other paint work was done at home. THANKS to a great wife and family:woot:

67velle 04-15-2007 07:11 PM

I cant decide but they will be 20/10 18/8 polished :willy:

ZZ3ElCamino 04-15-2007 07:40 PM

67Velle, what are you running for wheels and tires? As well as sizes?

ZZ3ElCamino 04-15-2007 07:41 PM

Sorry, I didn't see the wheels sizes before I sent the last one. What about tire sizes?

67velle 04-15-2007 07:44 PM

looking for advise still ,any ideas??? or pics????

ZZ3ElCamino 04-15-2007 07:49 PM

Well I am thinking about running a 245/35-19 on the front, and 285/30-20 on the rear if the rears will fit width wise.... Here are a couple of pics of the rear.....

what about front tire clearance???? back looks awsome.what suspension are you runnin? Ive got Eibach

ZZ3ElCamino 04-15-2007 08:07 PM

I have Global West trailing arms, Hotchkis sway bar, Hotchkis 1" drop springs, and a Moser narrowed 9".

I am not getting the ride height I was hoping for with the rear springs though, and I am not sure the springs will settle to the height I want. I may have to look for something lower.

ZZ3ElCamino 04-15-2007 08:10 PM

I haven't fit the fronts yet, hope to this week, if I have time.

Do you have any pics of your car from the side, from a ways back? It looks like your rear end is where I want mine to be as far as the centerline of the axles are concerned.

67velle 04-15-2007 08:13 PM

are those springs the same as a chevelle maybe the rate is to much for the back of the elky.

ZZ3ElCamino 04-15-2007 08:18 PM

I think as far as Hotchkis is concerned, the Elky springs and the Chevelle springs are the same. Mine are the same part number as the Chevelle's. Doesn't make me very happy at this point, but it is the name of the game, right? I am calling them tomorrow to see what they suggest.

67velle 04-15-2007 08:23 PM

coilovers? maybe better for us to get the stance just right.

ZZ3ElCamino 04-15-2007 08:33 PM

Original Parts Group carries a 1", 2" and 3" drop spring for the rear, so this maybe the route I take if Hotchkis can't off me something.

I would probably end up using the 3" spring based on the ride height I am getting right now.

67velle 04-16-2007 07:19 AM

Ill try to get some side pics give me a day

TPC 04-16-2007 06:32 PM
