´67 Camaro Pro Touring project
Hi Guys!
Finally I made up my mind and bought a ´67 Camaro-wreck. Earlier I´ve been thinking about rebuilding my ´67 Chevelle, but I kind a like it as it is, so I wanted another car and bought a Camaro instead. ´67 and 68´s have always been my favourite Camaroes, so I´m very happy. I sold my ´72 Chevy truck to finance the Camaro and a new set of wheels for the Chevelle. The wheels will arrive in a month so hopefully I can show you some pics then! For the Camaro I´m thinking Lateral Dynamics 3-link, DSE subframe, Willwoods all around, 6-speed manual, some nice Recaro seats from an Audi RS6, some 19"s in the back and 18" in the front, and if I win the lottery, an all aluminum Nelson Racing Engines 427. Hopefully I´ll get the car together one day, but It seems like a lot of time and money for this project, but hey you have to have some goals..... No, but for reals....should be a fun project! |
not bad, but still alot of work ahead of u.

Nice starting point...but I would focus the build around that dash pad.
|
Nice Project!

The dash pad and steering wheel remind me of when the customized van craze was big.

Man I remeber the first day I brought my roller 68 Camaro home...couldn't wait to strip the paint and ditch all the old parts! They look soooo much better in fresh primer or even bare metal...it helps them take on a new identity!! :)
Cudos for bring one back from the dead!! |
Sold!!!
I´ve sold the little sucker!
I had to sell ´cause I need the money for some goodies on my ´67 Chevelle instead. Made a few bucks on the roller and buying as much as I can afford for the Chevelle. Later! Alex |
Alex...I about cracked up when I saw the shackle extensions and traction bars on the back. My car had those too before I began. However, I was the one that put them on when I was a teenager. What can I say....I was young....I needed the money.
Congrats on the new project. The plan sounds awesome. Here's an old pic before my restoration. http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/e...ictures012.jpg |
