I would like to see some pic's of the cage after it gets finished and the interior is in as well. . .I also planned on using flared hole sheetmetal in my rollcage. . .I was just planning on using it down the A-pilliars and possibly the C-pillars as well. . .you've got it a lot of different places. . .right now it looks like a little much while it's in the raw. . .that's why I wanna see what it looks like when it's finished. . .I've checked out the pics you have on your website as well. . .the 'Stang is gonna be serious from the looks of it!!!

Fully TIG welded 4130 boxed lowers and uppers. We are using our signature series heims, and Light Racing 4140 threaded receivers!

How much does something like that weigh?

Do you have any issues with the Heims getting noisy? They make all kinds of racket on the long arm Jeep lifts.

jason@gmachine 05-29-2007 12:57 PM

receivers, 30 each
threaded BJ unit, 10
4130 plate, about 7 cents per inch.
TIG rod and gas, about 50
CAD design, done in house by Louie
CNC cut arms, done in house with our CNC plasma table.

man hours, priceless!

they take alot of time to weld up and put together. 10 hours for the lowers and about 9 hours for the uppers. I will post pics of the uppers when i finish welding them.

the weight is about the same as our 1.25" by .156 wall DOM units. The heim is one of our new signature series with the teflon liner. They are very nice and make very little noise over the cheaper ones without a liner.

Hey Jason,

Awesome work there!

I'm curious, are you building this bad a$$ ride for yourself, as a shop car or for a customer?

Anyway, i love what you are doing, i can't wait to see it on the ground and am hoping for a MENACING stance!!!

Any idea yet on wheel/ tire size and choice? (You know that bigger is always better yeah?)

Lead.

Oh, how about you'd put all your follow ups in the same thread so we don't miss anything from new thread start ups?! This car deserve's to be seen built!

this is Louie's personal car, so its kinda like a shop project. He will drive this as his DD when its done. Louie has the tire and wheels but im not sure what size they are. That was all his decision. Im the head fabricator so i make alot of the metal decisions, BUT......

The next shop project will be a Jason Heard creation, and well, it is going to be intense!!!!
HINT: ALL 4130 TIG welded, chassis, Front suspension, and Rear suspension. OH and dare i say, CHEVY!
