I finally have a car!
To All:
I am pleased to announce that Mark at Lateral Dynamics sold, "Lateral-1", to me this last month. You can see it here: http://www.lateral-dynamics.com/gallery/lateral-1/ Soon I will be able to start the upgrades on my new ride. The title will be arriving soon followed by the car shortly thereafter. He will be installing some Recaro seats in place of his racing seats (My butts to big), and will be putting an up to date 3-link in it. I should receive it in 4-6 weeks (Guess) if there is no delay on parts. I ordered my seats from Jim Huston at Motorsport Seats. http://www.MotorSportSeats.com Jim was great to work with and really knew his products. Thanks to the recommendations from you all, I knew to give him a call. Mark will also be installing new rear brakes. They will be the 4 pot Wilwood Dynalite Calipers with 13 inch two piece rotors. A Hydra-Boost unit will also be installed to replace the manual brakes currently on the car. I was fortunate to be able to work with such a nice and knowledgeable person. Mark puts out 1st class products and doesn't send anything out that isn't top notch. I found out he also does installations of his 3-link suspension for people that want the assistance. I hope all of you wanting to upgrade your f-body suspension will give Mark a call. The 3-link is a working piece of Art. I saw his 3-link unit for the 2nd gen Camaro and like one for the 1st gen, it to is of very high quality. As soon as it arrives here, I'll take some more pictures. Thanks to all of your ideas and help, I have a very good starting point and direction to head in with it. Frank and Lisa Serafine at GP Superstore have been extremely helping finding the needed parts and putting together very good pricing. Those items should start arriving very shortly. I would also highly recommend them to anyone needing parts for their car. http://www.gpsuperstore.com I'll update as I get new information. Take Care and Thanks to Everyone, Best Regards, Ty O'Neal |
Congratulations Ty!!! That car must handle really good!!! Keep us posted with pics. Is there back seat? Did Mark told you any secrets of future parts ? Like subframe ?

Awsome! Your going to have one hell of a car. :hail:

Ty, great looking "starter" car! Sweet.
You keeping the motor as is, or adding some more thunder? Can you tell me what shifter that is on your new TKO? The Tremec piece that comes with it? I like it... Good luck... |
Congrats!!
Glad to hear Jim Huston took good care of you...he is a great guy!! I'm sure you mentioned you are a L-G member...right? |
Congrats Ty. That's killer news. You're right, Mark is a first class guy.

Nice car love the tire and wheel, what size are the tires and wheels?
|
James:
I believe they are: Rear wheels 17X11 Rear Tires 315 Front Wheels 17X9 Front Tires 275 I think this is correct. If I find out any differences, I'll post them. Ty |

Regarding the Engine. Probably a bit less, "Thunder", as I need to change the Cam Shaft to something that will allow enough Vacuum to run A/C. Texas in the Summer is just to Damn Hot not to have it. I should know about the shifter, but at this point I do not have the specifics. I believe it's a TKO 500 w/ 5 forward gears. I probably sound like a ditz, but there are some many individual items I can't easily pull them off the top of my head yet. One of the major things I was interested in was having a good solid car that as already mini-tubbed, and had the 3-link already installed Ty |

He sent out material swatches as well so I could see and feel the different materials. With a bad back, I'm really looking forward to having nice comfortable seats in something I drive. They will be the Recaro, "Style Topline", Series with Black Leather and a Red Leather insert. Yes, I did tell him about being a L-G member, and as a result, he DID work out a deal that I'm very satisfied with. Ty |

He is dedicated to his business and will obviously be producing more great products for this Hobby in the future. I'm interested in watching his 2nd Gen Camaro get finished off. It to should be a killer ride. TY |
