LS7 Update: Carbon fiber valve covers and front accessory drive

Here's the latest update to the project and a little eye candy... I installed the valve covers from Carbon Fiber Valve Covers.com and the new front accessory drive from Synister Products.

The carbon valve covers not only look incredible, but the engineering behind them is first rate. I was impressed when I put the O-ring seal in the channel in the covers. They fit like they were a factory piece.

The front accessory drive is annodized black and is damn trick. I haven't pressed on the balancer hub yet, but you get the idea. The T-stat housing is billet and annodized black.

I'm pretty stoked how it all came out, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Very nice Scott. Does that drive system have AC available?

XcYZ 05-09-2007 05:27 AM

As Tony pointed out, that's the Red Witch. It also has the bitchin carbon fiber valve covers.

XcYZ 05-09-2007 05:29 AM

Thanks Jay. Yep, AC is definitely an option, but I didn't want it in my car. :)

rockdogz 05-09-2007 05:32 AM

Awesome Scott! Like those black hoses.

Looking good my friend!

I like the way that motor is coming together....and like you said, the covers and acc drive are bad ass.

XcYZ 05-09-2007 09:35 AM

I'm really close to firing it up. Just waiting for a few more parts. :)

Musclerodz 05-09-2007 01:50 PM

That is Red Witch, not Scott's car

I have the same without breathers in the covers. I'm going out of the block-off plate under the intake manifold and running black braided lines to remote breathers hidden in the fenderwells.

Stenod 05-11-2007 02:27 PM

WOW!!! Those valve covers just do it for me.....

:wow:

I may need a moment alone with those when we finally get a set on a car :willy:
