72 Nova and 68 Red FireBird

Hello Folks,

This is my first thread start here.
I look forward to being more involved.

This is a 72 Nova that I heavily modified from a straight racer
to a canyon carver. It consists of 5 photos and extensive airbrushing.
It was all done in Photoshop. Nova wallpaper http://autoartshop.net/wall.htm

This is a 1969 Firebird project. It was done in Adobe Illustrator and colored
in Photoshop.

Thank you for checking them out
Suggestions, comments, and criticism welcomed

Those look great! Any way to get a high res of the firebird?

Flash68 05-25-2007 08:54 AM

Damn, those are very nice! Great work!

Looks awesome Al! Glad you're showing off more work, that Nova is great....of course, I am a little biased.

Sorry about the broken links.
Something must be up with my website hoster.

Thank you for the compliments.

I will post a larger RedBird image very soon.
I'm thinking about adding the Nova to my wallpaper section at my site.
which is down right now

Hey Ben, do you have a progress tread for your Nova build?

Thanks
Al

LOL, I would if there was any actual progress on it. I haven't had a second to even put a finger on the car since last fall believe it or not.

Nice Work!! I like the Nova...

yup, the nova rocks. the changes you made from the source are really cool. coloring is solid too. btw, do you use PS? i think the Firebird colors kick ass too and so do the mods, but the proportions are a little odd ... normally, i think that is cool but it's a little too squashed is all. no biggie really.

Cool, thank you.
Please give more details on what you are talking about (side view, front view or both). Probably the side view? This brings up a point. I really should get a model of a 69 Camaro or Firebird to use to check proportions. I worked from some photos in a book for that side view. Cameras are uniocular and distort. Viewing a model will help this and I should start doing that.
I will fix it in Photoshop  .

Yes I used Photoshop for the entire Nova image.

Someone asked for a larger RedBird I will do that and make the changes that
City_ofthe_south brings up. I also noticed that the far back tire just looks a little too small (side view).

Thanks again to you all
Al
