What is this 69 Pro-Touring camaro worth in your opinion?
The seller and I have come to a verbal agreement for price on this, sending a deposit in the morning. I wanted to get yalls input though before I sent the small deposit and flew out to view it.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...120693740&rd=1 Please let me know what you think it is worth ballpark if it is as clean as it looks. any questions I should ask the owner? http://i13.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/9e/34/af95_3.JPG |
looks pretty good in the pics. low to mid 30's seems realistic if its as nice in person as it looks in pics. Id like to see more of the underside but thats why you are going to look at it. Good luck

Ugly interior and tacky shift knob :goofy:
Sharp car otherwise. |

That interior might have worked with a white car but on red it looks out of place. Other than that I though the interior was nice (save for the shift knob). Nice looking car. Mid 30's.

Did no one else read the fact that there is no title to the car? Value drops quite a bit IMO. "State of Georgia does not require titles on cars this age".

The same may be for Georgia?? |
thats dtourings car, i saw it at rth2, it is a nice car, with some final touches needed to make it super nice, at that price it is a really good deal, the only issue was a small dent from rear bumper when someone hit him in a lot or something
go for it titles in maine are not needed for anything older then 15 years, commonplace here not to have a title as its not needed so after 15 years most people stop transferring the title, i would not worry |

I think it's well worth the 40k. Some of the interior is weird looking, but quickly fixable. Pretty good buy IMHO.

I'd say that it very much worth the asking price.
My car also has over $50k in it and if I thought I could only get mid $30's for it, I'd keep it...:faint: When rusty, bad paint, tired motor Camaros are bringing mid-teens to twenty something, cars like these are surely worth more than a mid-teen's price difference.:willy: When you all go to sell your cars, I'm sure you won't price them at half what it cost you to build them....:_paranoid |
I'm at the beginning of a ground-up 69 project myself, and I can say it's basically impossible to build this car for anything close to $40K these days, unless you find the proverbial perfect barn car from little old lady who has no idea what it's worth (good luck finding a little old lady that uninformed these days). By the time you get straight, rust free sheet metal ready for paint, with VIN tag, you're into it for $20K plus no matter how you start.
The claim is it's mini-tubbed - whose mini tubs? The rear tires don't look to be 315s or 335s. Just something to check. If the body is straight and rust free, it's worth the asking price, IMO. |
this same post is over on PT .com and many people know the owner/ builder and vouced for him and the car...

the same guy who built this car.. built THIS car.. http://www.good-guys.com/images/news...ch%20Chevy.JPG if this doesnt make you feel alittle better nothin will.. and keep in mind.. its his PERSONAL camaro.. so you know its official. |
The car looks very nice and i agree with those that say it is well worth the asking price!! I do agree that the seats do not go with the car at all but it is still worth it as is.... if it is as clean as the pics indicate. thumbs up!! good luck!!

sorry
Painted.. so bad with words:faint: .. |
Nice car. You would be hard pressed to build one just like it for $40k and you doing most of the work, unless you found a very straight car.
I say jump on it, before its gone. |
