HID pics installed - 69 Camaro
Hey guys, I've had these installed for about a month or so and finally took some pics. I leave my RS doors closed as I like they way they look better closed. Let me know what you think:

It was a generic kit I think. The ballasts and bulbs are from different suppliers. I'll have to ask my buddy who installed them, I beleive the bulbs are H4. I don't much about electrical so I will have to get back to you guys on it.

We sell a lot of HID bulb upgrades. They simply get power and ground from your existing headlight wires. I recommend that you always use a relay to ensure proper voltage for the system though.
The good thing about them is they use 35-50% less current to product more light. They also run WAY cooler in the lense, so your lenses will last a lot longer instead of taking one out when it's hot and something hits it. The H4 kit that we sell also has a small halogen bulb side saddled to the HID bulb so you have your legal high beam feature still, some of the H4 conversions don't have the high beam bulb. There are also other ones that use a small magnet to "shift" the HID bulb up when you flash the high beams but it's not legal if you get a inspection. The HID kits that are out there are like everything else, there is total crap and really good, do some research before spending the money. We recently put a clients ebay purchased set in, the bulbs worked out of the box, but nothing else did. It didn't even come with mounting brackets, just a big slab of double sided tape to mount the ballasts...................very cheesy.............. Once you go HID though, you will NEVER go back to Halogen..............the light quality is second to none............... |
those look good ryan
