Can a Post be be deleted?

If someone starts a thread and a day later they want it deleted what do they need to do?
Can they delete it or is a moderator the only one that can delete it?

Contact an Admin or Moderator via PM, they can delete or move threads.

the edit/delete function is available to all members on their own posts, but I think there's a time limit on some sites for how long you have access to it. After that time you'll need a mod or admin to do it for you.

It appears on this site that the original poster can edit his own posts indefinitely. You go into edit for the delete option.
