Do think DSE front sub will come any chaper in future?
What do you think guys? Does parts get any cheaper when they have been on the market for a while ? I know one day or another i need one but i dont need it yet.

Hard to say, really. I know there's considerable R&D time and tooling costs involved. Unlike some companies that just COPY other's products, DSE actually does engineering and development on what they bring to market.
It's a beautiful and stout piece, you can't see all the details in pictures, you need to check it out in person. |
The price of metal (all metals) is thru the roof due to demand from China and other emerging markets. Freight costs are way up due to fuel prices. I don't see how anything will be getting cheaper. To the contrary, many manufacturers are giving up a little profit in an effort to HOLD prices. But that can't last forever.

I have heard feed back from a number of my supplier's and they have taken a real bath the last year or so . They issued catalogs with certain prices, just before steel and fuel went through the roof . They have triied to compenstate for it a little but you will most likely see some serious price increase's in the future just so they can stay profitable . So I don't think the price's will ever go down. If I was you I would be makeing my purchase now if possible. that is probley the only way your going to save money.

I think you all are right.Maybe it will go higher in future. And i know DSE has really put time and effort for it. Thats why i changed my mind about getting it.( okay its allso partly Steves fault too ;) ) |
All things considered the price for it is not all that bad. If you are starting at scratch and building an LS1 car, that frame puts you way ahead in terms of money and bother.
To start, it fits stock LS1 pans and it clears the stock AC compressor. Total the cost of tubular control arms, aluminum spindles with C5 hubs, rack and pinion steering, splined swaybar, coil over bracketry and shocks, and cleaning/blasting/welding/modifying a stock frame. It all adds up fast. The DSE frame looks like a pile of money but its all up front and when you have it your done. |

Ive touched on this subject before! about DSE, Sure they are a GOOD company but like i have alwasy said wayyy over priced in a market that makes products similiar and even nicer in my book, but about there frames no way i would take one over a morrison frame and not to mention the total cost unit is even nicer yet for a fraction of the money, but for 6K+ come on
and shure there a hydro formed peice and all but really how many people are going to abuse there cars to the point they would a frame of this magnitude, Personally just dosent make since but shure theres always people out there that will want whats new first and money is no object. And it is great theres options like these frames out there but not really necessary for most builds a frame this extrme or most of all this expensive! |
