Another 1st Gen.

If your going to ask as many questions as I do, it might be a good idea to introduce yourself and let folks see what your working with.

I'm 42, and self employed.
I bought the car (1967 rs-ss) last year from one of those classic auto dealers. After two months of driving it around, two things drove me crazy. The leaky window rubber and the ridiculous low gearing of the car.

Fast forward seven months, $50k and 500 posts around the car forums.
A few pictures of the build.

Thanks again to everyone who takes the time to answer my questions and share the passion. My wife call it a sickness

hey Rich, nice car! I've been following your build over on Camaros.net and the pro-touring site.

I love those gauges and I was wondering if you could give me some info on them? I too have a 67 RS/SS that I'm building pro-touring style.

I wish I had the money you had to put in my sled though! at the moment I have a GM Crate 330 HP small block 350, Muncie M20, Hotchkiss Suspension all the way around, Baer 13" tracks in the front, AAW wiring.. the car is still in the building stages so it's still in pieces. ( the motor is still siting in the crate!)

Anyway thanks for the pics and the ideas!

Oh since we're introducing ourselves I'm a retired Marine now working for at a Toro Distributor here in Rancho Cordova. 41 yrs old

Thanks for the comments Texas dog,

The guages are Autometer. The dash is classic industries. The slip in like they were made to be there.

I will dig up a picture of the mounting plate I used for the back.

Rich:

I don't know if you have named your car or not, but it sounds like your wife has a good name for it.

Just call it, "Sickness", or, "My Sickness".

I know many here could relate.

Take Care,

TY
