Shrifter in Street Rodder Magazine!

I noticed a brief write up in the July issue of Street Rodder magazine. I hope the Hot Rod guys like it as much as we do.

Cool!! Thanks for the heads-up. I had no idea. Brian Brennan, the editor had his doubts about the product at first. Said street rodders would never go for it as they still prefer TH350's as a group. Judging by the cars for sale in the back of the Goodguys Gazzette, I'm sure he's right. But that doesn't mean that there is a segment of the population that wants it. Many street rodders have called. I even sold one to a 32 Ford in New Zealand with Lexus drivetrain. Supposedly the top street rod in NZ at this time.

They're out there.

Steve, i saw the Shrifter in the Street Rodder also, way too cool.

Ya know, there should be a gameshow where car guys compete for cool parts, suspensions, crate Motors, SHRIFTERS, etc.

And you'd be the game host.... :D

No, you.

There is also a Lexus powered 32 roadster in the same issue that they do some track testing on. Not the same car though. but you would never know it had a Lexus in looking at it. A very traditional looking car. I have no idea why hot rod guys are still stuck on TH350's. Makes no sense to me.

Way to go and blow the secret Steve...I'm telling everyone in NZ right now!!
BTW- Read Steve's writeup in PHR and it was great to see a full feature on it with a real install instead of just the blurbs I've been reading about. Congrats man.

i believe you have a great product ..when shown and explained to anyone with a 4l60e or 80 im sure the interest will turn into sales......
i was kinda worried i would get tired of the automatic ...thought i wouldnt have the fun of a 6 speed manual .. but after reading about your product i have changed my mind.....cant wait to give feedback once mine is driveable.
THE RAMBLER WILL HAVE A SHRIFTER connected to the 4l60e !! :drive:
thanks for giving us automatic guys something to make the car more fun

The pre-37 cars have a valid reason. Limited toeboard space for a larger overdrive case. But overall, I think the average street rodder is more concerned with style, comfort and reliability as opposed to performance and technolofy. That's okay. The hardcore subset is a smart, talented bunch. We'll find them, they'll find us.
