JimHamptons 69 vert

Hey just wanted to post some pics of the project we just finished at Jakes Rod Shop. we installed a dse quadralink, welded brackets on axle, hand made custom tailpipes to work with stock gas tank and quadralink, installed longer rear axle studs, installed new eradi speed 2 pc front rotors, and did a general nut and bolt of the car for safety and reliability.
The car is complete, has the speed 3 front kit and it just goes so smoothly, everything works together as a system, it is a pleasure to drive and i really did not want to bring it back to him!

The car is a true pleasure to drive now. Rear suspension follows the front through turns whereas the Hotchkis leafs had a sort of delayed, disconnected feel. The springs are too soft for my tastes. I want to try a bigger front stabilizer bar first though. Tuning a convertible can be funky.

And Jake is a pleasure to work with. He's extremely talented and thorough. Jake's Rod Shop is up there in Southern Canada (Maine) with all the mooses, but his skills, professionalism and reasonable rates make it worthwhile to transport cars up to his shop. You can expect to see some great cars from Jake's Rod Shop in the coming years.

No minitub. This is my cruiser so I did not see the need to go big out back.

As for Jake's Rod Shop, I would like to add that of all the projects I have been involved with over the past 2 years, dealing with Jake was by far the most pleasant and his workmanship is outstanding!
