Synister bracket diagram.
My synister belt drive didn't come with instructions. I called and left sevral messages but I haven't heard back from them yet.
If someone has a good picture of the power steering and AC area, I can finish it without the instructions. Using pictures from Jody and Scott's cars I managed to get this far. http://eastbayerectors.com/front.jpg Thanks in advance, :lateral: |
There is a bolt missing in the second pic, at the left side of the pic. It goes from the housing into the front of the head.

mine is packed away, but I don't remember it being a floating unit. Thought it was fixed, no fore/aft movement.
I sent a link to this thread to the guys at Synister, hopefully they jump in. Jody |
Synister Serp System
Hey, its mark from from Synister. Sorry you havent been able to reach us we are overwhelmed with buisness and changing to wholesale and internet only. Anyone who has questions send an email to [email protected]. As far as bearing goes it has a floating tolerance of .030 it is made to be radially loaded and not side loaded. I think once you get it running youll see it is the tightest in the buisness with almost zero reflection at over 8500 RPM. As for the instructions I'll overnight you a set so you have them. But for now heres how it goes. The large ( L ) Bracket bolts to the side of the engine block with the 90 Degree end facing the balancer. The short ( L ) bolts to the timing cover going from memory its the second bolt from the bottom on the timing cover. The large base bracket has a single lower bolt that goes through the bracket and the stand off and bolts directly to the bottom engine bolt drivers side. Send me your adress and ill send you a DVD of a complete installation for your records. If theres anything else I can help with drop me an email. I'll watch for it.
Thanks Mark |
