Anyone have any tech info on putting LS2 twin turbo setup in 69 GTO,parts or shop info in midwest would be helpful.Have a friend that has a 69 GTO and bought one and a half 2006 GTO to get parts and drivetrains out of.He wants to use drivetrain out of 06 cars.

Right here brother - http://www.airpowersystems.com/ls1/us_gto.htm

With modifying a few pipes that should fit in there perfect and be really stealth looking!!!!

He is going to want and get the optional fuel system and ecu as well.

As much as I loved my APS twin turbo kit in my 05 GTO, I doubt much of the kit will work in the 69. Not even sure the manifold/turbo location will clear. It'd be cool if it did, but don't bet on it until you do some measuring.

All the inlet/intercooler tubing would be scrapped, none of that will work. Basically you'd be just using the manifolds (if they clear), the turbos, wastegates, and maybe the intercooler (although that's doubtful, it's very thick and takes up a bunch of room).

Just by looking at it, I'm betting it won't fit. I'm putting a 6L in a 70' GTO (engine and trans are in the car) and it looks like everything from the end of the manifold on (turbo's and plumming) will hit the front crossmember...

The stock 6L manifolds will support almost 900 hp on a turbo application according the the boys at LS1tech, so I think that kit is worthless on your application.

Im doing a twin turbo LS1 in my 71 Chevelle (A body, same as yours) Everything thin had to be custom made. I dont think you will find a kit that will work on your car. Here a pic of mine, to give you an idea of what it will look like when done....

Should be no problem, It will involve a lot of custom fabrication but depends on how deep the customer wants to go with the project! I'll post a few pics of my twin turbo 502, all the fab on it was done in house! Let me know what you think.
