One more time..Dry sump tank for LS7
Yes i am sorry ,i know this has been here many times but i still need to ask this.. If i get the petersen tanks from ATS what needs to done to the right fender ? Scott did you had this exact same system?

Nothing needs to be done to the fender, but you'll need to cut the inner fenderwell for the tank to pass through, notch the core support where the nuts are and weld them on to the front side and drill new holes in the fenderwell for the 2 bolts. Keep in mind that you need clearance for the tire at full lock, room for the bumper bracket, and still be able to get the cap off the tank. It's not hard, but very tedious and time consuming.
A body saw is a must for cutting the hole in the inner fenderwell. |
I did the same tank setup on my 69. Although first I thought about using a paint can I had laying around instead of buying an expensive tank.

Although it was the perfect diameter to lay in there to decide where to cut the hole:unibrow: http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/5...ture030vd8.jpg Actually I used the 6qt tank from Peterson. I got mine before Tyler started selling the 8 qt. I may change in the future if it is necessary. |
