Twist Machines - cowl hood billet trim ring!!

Well here is a pic of Steevo's billet trim ring on the back of the cowl hood. We polished it and added the mesh behing. Looks pretty damn sweet...Thanks Steevo!!!

I got mine too, and I just got my cowl supports from them today. They look killer. I went to CAR and put them on. They fit perfect. Thanks again Steve.

I like the mesh..

I know it will impair the airflow alittle but it just looks better to me without a big empty hole....

I was thinking the same, but this stuff is super thin like .020 thick. I was worried the wire mesh would make the panel stick out and have a gap behind it...

Thanks guys. Looks awesome.
I found some material that might work well. Ordering some up. 71% open area--which is acceptable, 40 thou thick, hexagonal perforation--not mesh, so it won't sag like mesh. If it works, we'll sell it as an option. Good for low to medium power fuel injected applications with front inlets such as LS motors. We will continue to recommend against its use for carbureted and big power applications. But it's up to you to decide. It would suck if a silly trim plate promoted overheating at idle or caused you to recalibrate your carburetor.

Just looking out for your guys. It's a amazing how much thought needs to go into a little screen--unless you're just trying to keep bugs out of the house.
