I like those Chevelles and this one is just perfect, might be in silver though:unibrow:
If and when I build another car, it would be like that one. Jan |
PHR featured it a few months back.

A member from Chevelles.com asked sc&c and got this response:
[quote]"The `69 gets it`s stance from a combination of our Street Comp Stage 2-Plus package and Hotchkis springs. In that pic it still has a stock swaybar in front and no rear bar. I`m told he was doing close to 90mph in that pic. It`s got 245-45-17 in the front and 315-35-17 in the rear. AFAIK all he did was measure the backspacing (if memory serves he used 5" BS) very carefully and roll the rear fender lip. He`s since upgraded the swaybars and shocks etc. If you have any other questions I`ll do my best to answer em."[/qoute] |
No, there is no way we were doing 90 in that picture. My Corvette is about equal to his Chevelle and I was getting 80 in the back straight. I'm the one in the passenger seat and the driver is one of my good friends. I'll tell him about this thread so you will get your answers.

17x11 rear 6.75" backspacing
17x9.5 front 5.5" backspacing 275-40-17 front tires 315-35-17 rear tires Stock rear wheel-wells with the fender rolled just a little. To fit the 275 in the front you have to have tubular upper control arms. He has the SC&C upper control arms and is waiting for their lower control arms to come out. He does have the SC&C Street Comp Stage 2-Plus package, Hotchkis springs, KYB gas-a-just, but still has stock front sway bar and no rear swaybar. No further suspension mods have been done since that picture. He said that he got his backspacing info from Chevelles.com He said he'd stop by here later so if you have any more questions about it, please, go ahead and ask. |
