Suspension Fabrication Help Needed

I have an 85 Vette and have redone the front suspension with poly bushings and coilovers. I'm working on the rear doing the same thing. On the rear of C4's there is a tie rod assembly the comes from the top of the differential down to the knuckles on either side. Vette Brakes and Performance sells a replacement using heim joints for $300 but I beleive I van make it up for a lot less. What I can't find are tapered shafts to fit into the knuckle like the OEM tie rod end but with a means of attaching the heim joint. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can drill out the knuckle and use a 5/8" hardened bolt, or what ever size heim you use...5/8" ++

drilling the hole out would be my 1st choice also, but if thats not the direction you wanna go, look for a bump steer stud....finding the correct taper may be challenging

I third the "drill them out answer"
