im gonna build a 632 merlin whats a good auto that will take that power but with a over drive.

4L80E. Can be built plenty strong for that big block, has electronic control to get all the shifting characteristics and speeds exactly how you want them, and allows the cool paddle shifter from Twist Machine is you choose to. :thumbsup:

A 4L80e will live very well, a 4l60e would live as long as your not giving it drag strip launches. My old pro street car, I put a 4L80E in it with a billet lock up convertor and made acouple 9's passes with it. That was behind a 706.

im shoving it in a g body el camino space is a little tight around the heater where it sticks out from the firewall.

what all cars did the 4L80E come from

Late model 2wd trucks are your best bet.
