Finally some long awaited car porn...
5 Attachment(s)
This is just an initial mockup to ensure fitment (less shine and proper hardware) but thought it looked cool all the same and wanted to share. This setup is the brainchild of Marcus at SC&C and is called the Street Comp A6 pakage for A-bodies. He did all the custom fab work including the boxing of my lower arms which you can see looks amazing!! I had all his raw material powdercoated and what you see is the colors we're sticking with. This sytem is the first of it's kind for A-Bodies and should be good for my lateral-g goal :)
I also am including a pic that was just sent to me from my drivetrain guy Frank at RPM Dragracing of my 4l60E that is finished (Shrifter compatible, of course!). Pretty soon I'll be able to show you the trick aluminumn driveshaft and 8.8 Ford rear he's fabbing up for me...wait till you see the rear suspension!! Both Frank and Marcus worked together on my rear setup and i'm holding Frank up because I just now sent out my rear brakes to him. Sorry Frank! Right now we're are in full SEMA swing and progress is steady. Stay tuned for updates and more info on the car is on our website www.zefhix.com |
and the trans

Note the deep pan and bellhousing adapter. We'll be painting the motor and trans the same color as the car. The trans will handle over 900 ft/lbs of torque and features a lock-up 2400 stall converter..

on your website i see tubular lowers that use coilover like mounts... what happened to make you use the stock lowers instead? regardless i dig the whole concept..... but then again i have a soft spot for 70 chevelles :D

Nice!
What upright is that? C5? Was the steering arm fabricated too? Did all this come with the kit? |

Marcus fabricated the steering arm and it is a C5/C6 (same part #) knuckle that was trimmed and modified by him as well. He also boxed the lowers for me. He is a phenominal talent in our hobby. I hope you guys see that! |
Freakin sweet dude. The parts make way more sense ON the car.
We still on for tomorrow? Kris |
Keith, nice pics! I`m pretty sure that should read +6lbs./pr. for the LCAs though.
Mark, like Keith said the uprights are C5/C6 CNC machined to compliment their use in the package. The steering arms are CNC`d 7075 T-6. It`s all part of the soon to be released A-6 package. Normally it comes with complete brakes,hub/bearing assys. etc. Brakes can range from std. C-5 13" to Baer 6 piston/15". There are several UCA variations also. Marcus |
Booyah.
Looks like a great step up over the current B-body swap. :unibrow: Any prelim pricing Marcus? How about some hard numbers on bump steer / camber gain / RCH / etc? Also, how is track width and hub height compared to stock/B-body? Keith, looks great, can't wait to see what you have in store for the rear and the completed car. |
Not knocking the package but with all that work how did the RC migration wind up at over 1.5" . Seems a little on the high side for basically a scratch build. Maybe the PT screen shot on Keith's site is not from this package, in that case please disregard.
BTW, spindles look real nice. |
