A custom part someone needs to make
 

for all of us with cowl induction hoods that are not fuctional someone needs to make an air box with filter that will seal from engine heat.
Cant find anything around that looks good or works correctly.
I bet there is a big demand for something like this.

Try www.ramairbox.com he has some nascar style air boxes that look cool...you might be able to do something with one, hope this helps

need a functional cowl to mate up to mate up to a lsX intake

this is not a difficult part to make, depending on the hood ofcourse.. but i could propably make somthing that attached to aircleaner base and extended upwards to intercept the hood in a matter of about an hour.. it would require trimming and a seal be installed..

if your not up to doing it yourself.. then try somthing like speedway motors or one of the other circletrack shops, they have somthing you can use.. guaranteed!

yes it would be a simple part if i had a press brake and shear.
but I dont.
also searched the net and really came up with nothing special except the Moroso air pan set up which isnt wide enough.

Only way to get it to work is to fab a metal plate to block off the round aircleaner hole in the cowl induction hood and cut a hole same size as the Moroso airpan.
