Under a Dead Cat...bottom shot

Had the car aligned yesterday. I was suprisingly close with just my eye balls...a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.

I took this shot while it was on the rack. If I ever do another car, I can promise I will never take the time to paint the bottom.

Why's that? I am thinking about doing it to my shoe box project....

Looks great BTW....

because as soon as you drive it it looks like crap unless you want to wash the bottom of the car also, and hosing it off doesn't cut it

Looks great Payton! Hey, it's not a crazy amound of work to undercoat the bottom at a later date. You just have to remove all the little stuff, drop the driveshaft and tape stuff off like crazy.

For now though it sure looks purty!

Looks great!! You'll do another one...it's in your blood!! And just think of all you learned on this one!! ;)

You would be surprised at the number of hours on

the bottom of the car. Seam sealer and bondo in some places so it would be slick.

Next one will get the undercoating like Penny...and yes I thought about after this one gets nasty to do it to this one as well.

you know, I was surprised how bad a satin black color underneath looked after driving just once in the rain, and less than 1000 miles total. I've had body colored underneath cars that looked way better with a lot more miles.

I remember when I was selling the yellow Procharged car most all the interested buyers hated that it was undercoated. Just a thought for the high dollar car guys.

With all that said I'm torn between body color and undercoated. I do have a lift and professional hot pressure washer and the time to keep either nice.
