TKO vs T56

initially i was planning on running a TKO, but i am finding a can get a rebuilt w/warranty T56 for about 1/3 less than a new TKO600. i hadnt planned on a 6 speed, as i dont really "need" it. but beings how i am on a severve budget right now... im wondering if there are any drawbacks to the T56 vs TKO.

my '34 should wiegh in at about 2100lbs, and the engine will be in the 450-500 hp range... so i dont think it will tear up either trans. my mind is allready made unless anybody has anything to say about why i should forget the T56.

Since you can get a deal on the T56, I'd go that route.

What is the gearing and tire diameter on your project?

tires are 24", gearing is still unknown till i know what i am running for trans.

im being lazy here by asking and not looking, but did i see someplace where somebody made an adapter to fit the T56 to a reg bellhousing?
