For Sale: 1967 Chevy II Nova, "II Much". Popular Hot Rodding Cover Car (October 2007). II Much has had significant magazine coverage (exhaust, front suspension, rear suspension, engine, etc.) over the past several years. It sports a sleeved and stroked LS2 (427 cid) that makes 600 hp, a TKO 600 5 sp, and a Moser 9 inch rear. It has a Katz Tsubai custom designed track-proven suspension, Wilwood brakes, a custom race-inspired interior, and flawless paint.
The car is equally happy cruising down the highway and going 160mph on the race track. You can have fun at your local autoX showing the Miata boys that muscle cars can compete, and at the local car show showing the numbers-matching crowd something they haven't seen before. II Much Tech Sheet Chassis, Suspension, Steering, Brakes Frame: Art Morrison. 2x4x.120 frame rails, 1.75x.083 4130 12 pt cage. Custom floor, firewall, wheel tubs, transmission tunnel, and trunk fabricated from various gauges of 1018 cold rolled steel. Suspension: (front) Custom designed short-long arm. Katz Tsubai design. Features 4130 tubular lower control arms, needle-bearing upper control arms, Howe Racing ball joints, Stock Car Products modular sway bar, C4 hubs, and custom fabricated aluminum uprights, coilover mounts, and crossmember. (rear) Custom designed (Katz Tsubai) road racing 3 link. Features adjustable control arms and panhard bar plus custom sway bar. Designed for 1+G in street settings, 1.15G in track mode, using HAL QA1 coilover shocks and springs all around. Steering: custom Tony Woodward rack, Lefthander Chassis tie rods, and custom machined 4340 steel steering arms. Brakes: Front- Wilwood 14” 2pc rotor, slotted/cross drilled, Wilwood 6 piston radial mount caliper, Rear- Wilwood 12” rotor, slotted/ cross drilled, Wilwood 4 piston fixed caliper, Pedal assembly- Wilwood firewall mount dual master cylinder and clutch assembly with balance-bar adjustable front to rear bias. Hydraulics- Wilwood 0.75 master cylinders (x2) Exhaust: Custom built 1-3/4 304 SS primary tube headers to a 3” exhaust with MagnaFlow X-pipe and bumper outlet. All header materials and bends supplied by Stainless Works. Exhaust system supplied by MagnaFlow. Fuel system: Custom built 16 gallon baffled aluminum fuel cell with sump in rear trunk area, external Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump, stainless steel hardlines. Wheels and Tires: Kinesis K18 3pc rims, dark gray anodized. (front) 18x9 (rear) 18x11. Pirelli 265/35/ZR18 and 315/30/ZR18 P Zero Corsa tires. Engine, Valvetrain, & Underhood Engine: Wegner Automotive Research 620 hp 427 using Rapid Motorsports sleeved LS2. Internal: Lunati 4” crank, Pro-Modified rods, Lunati forged pistons. ARP hardware throughout. Wegner Automotive Research drivetrain and Lunati Voodoo cam. Intake: GMPP single-plane throttle-body intake Heads: Wegner Automotive Research CNC ported aluminum heads. Engine Management: FAST XFI controller and Holley throttle body with custom built wiring, using MIL spec connectors Transmission: TKO-600 5 speed (road race version) Clutch: LS6, with Howe TOB, Wilwood master, and custom pedal. Rear End: Morrison 9" housing, Moser Engineering nodular iron 3rd member. TrueTrac differential, 3.25 ratio, 31 spline axles. Engine Cooling: Ron Davis aluminum radiator with 1-1/2 tubes and dual electric fans. Hoses: Stainless and aluminum hardline, along with Earl's and Brown & Miller race hose. Interior & Trunk Seats: Sparco Monza race seats in black cloth Interior Trim: Custom interior in black suede and vinyl. Dynamat insulation/noise/heat dampener. Shifter: Tremec Billet shifter Steering Column & Wheel: Ididit tilt column with Borgeson U joints, Sparco 3 spoke racing wheel with pull off hub. Miscellaneous: Schroth 4 pt belts with cam quick release latches. Appointments: Vintage Air Gen IV Magnum air conditioning, featuring cold a/c, and full defrost and heat. Stereo: Integrated iPhone-based stereo. GPS apps work - including Navigon turn-by-turn voice navigation. Exterior Body Panels: Harwood fiberglass cowl induction hood, custom reverse hinges. Custom adjustable front and rear spoilers. Fabricated aluminum trim, stainless mesh, fiberglass bumpers, etc. Paint: PPG Blue with metallic black and anodized aluminum trim. I knew this day was coming and I'm with Scott...I'm VERY glad I was able to see II Much in person at SEMA! It's an increadable car and was very fun seeing it built over the years! Good luck John and I hope it goes to someone that will truely enjoy it (use it!).

I Know the feeling your having John. Same reason I sold the 57 to start the now never ending 55:D I'm sure it is a bitter sweet thing about selling it, but sometimes it as much fun building them as driving them. I'm glad I was able to see it in person at SEMA. Workmanship and quality is second to none. :thumbsup: Truely a work of art.

Yeah, selling the car is a bit of an emotional struggle, but the joy was in the journey. It only seems like it was just done ... I've had the car running for well over a year, and spent the summer tuning the car for serious track use. The fall was spent getting it ready for SEMA and PRI, and so now it's time to let it go. I'm hopeful someone will buy it as a fun toy to play with. I wouldn't mind doing that myself, but after more than a year of play, I want to build something again. As I mentioned above, I don't have the resources to do both. I don't know what my future project will be yet. I've looked at the Factory Five GTM. What an awesome car that would be. I know of a nice Pantera. Imagine that with an LS7! Maybe a later model Nova (I know of one that was used by DSE as their prototype for developing their minitubs). Or maybe something else entirely. Time will tell. I gotta sell this one first! jp |

I really enjoyed all your build coverage, the story and all the ride-along video. The result was an amazing car. Seeing what you did gave me the courage to jump into my project and do it myself ! I can only hope for a small percentage of your success - and that is still setting the bar high. Thanks for the motivation and - Best of luck selling her ! Like they said, it will go quickly.
