newbie

hi guys kinda new here and need your help/opinion. I'm kinda stuck, I've bought a 68 camaro earlier this year and was gonna get started on it after the holidays. But as luck would have it i came across a deal that i couldn't walk away from(69camaro).So now thats my problem. I need to sell one of the two. I know the smart thing to do would be work on 69, but I'm more into the 68 bodystyle. This is where I'm stuck, what should I do any advice would be great. thanks

Why would the smart thing be to work on the 69?

they are generally more popular, and equivalent builds bring more money than 67/8's. No bash on the earlier ones, but that's been my experience.

With all that said, I'd build the one I liked more.

x2

if you are building the car for yourself, build the one you like or you will never finish it...

also i like the 7/8 better than the 9.. there is just somthing pure about the first one...

thanks guys, yeah that is what i meant to say about the 69 "being smart". everyone tells me that the 69 are worth more money and blah, blah. but i'm kinda more into the 67/68. but are there any pros and cons from one or another??

not really other than value. Some people think the mini-tubbed 69 looks lower in the rear due to the fenderwell shape, and prefer the 69 look. I prefer the dash in the earlier cars, and the 67/8's look pretty cool without a front bumper if you wanted; the 69's don't pull that off very well. Otherwise the first gens are very similar with most all suspension, drivetrain, etc. being identical.

Still say build what you like if you're keeping it, and build a 69 if you have any plans of selling it.

I agree, build the one you favor more. Although, you could do a semi-quick build on the '69 to sell and help fund a killer build of the '68?

wow that does sound like a good idea. thanks awr68
