Cherry picker as a rotisserie

Has anyone used a cherry picker as a rotisserie (the lifting portion)? I found a car domain page with a guy who did this. I am only looking to do this for a short period of time to paint the undercarriage (maybe 2 days at the longest). I would build something to brace the car while it is on its side and mount it like a rotisserie is mounted, I would use the cherry picker just for lifting and leave it strapped up as a saftey device. I am just trying to figure out where to lift the car from without causing any stress or damage. I really dont want to buy a rotisserie for just a couple hrs. of work and I haven't found one to borrow or rent locally. If this is a horrible idea I will just lay on my back and use jackstands. Here is the link to his thread, he is a member on camaros.net. I pm'ed him but I was wanting to get a few opinions while waiting on him to reply.

That cherry picker photo looks really dangerous to me. At max travel you know it's not that stable. Cherry pickers aren't meant to hold weight for an extended time either.

Just buy a real rotisserie, if you never use it again, I bet you could sell if for at least $0.75 on the dollar. Which would be almost like renting one.

WTF!!
that body is F***ED!!!!!!
the purpose of a rotisserie is to work on the body, and keep it square, and keep the worker safe.... that is engine hoist used for a rotisserie, the exact opposite to say the least

How soon are you needing one? You are in OKlahoma right?

If you are not in a huge hurry you are welcome to borrow mine. I think my cousin is getting close to finishing up his Nova. I will check it out this weekend and see where he is at.
