makes no sense to me, don't get it.:willy: No matter how much torque it makes, it's still a diesel powered Vette........ :goofy:

lol, agreed. :pushbutto

Sounds like a duramax truck. Must be a heavy motor.

All the style of a Corvette with the exhaust note of a school bus to attract the ladies

So much for the weight advantage of a Vette. I didn't see any black smoke either, so the thing is probably not making much more, if any power than the stock LS1. They do get the unique award though...

That'll go real well with my Duramax repowered Grand National.

To All:

With the work people like, "Banks" are doing with Turbos, you might not like the sound of them, but think how YOU will feel someday when that Crappy sounding diesel blows the paint off your, Hot Sounding Gas V8.

Turbo Diesel Technology is quickly becoming VERY Bad Ass. Even though they are heavy now, it won't necessarily take a large heavy Diesel in the Future to Make Big Torque. This mixed with the right transmission might be a very valid method of building a great Hot Rod.

I've noticed, "Banks", isn't building new Turbo Kits for the LS Engines.

I wonder why? (He's a very good business man, on top of being very mechanically smart)

If you haven't seen it, take a look at his, "Road Race", Diesel Pick Up. It's pretty impressive.

I bet very few of our cars could beat it.

Enjoy these if you haven't already seen them, their cool.

Get a life.... I really like diesels and granted they make some real power, but a diesel is designed for lots of low end torque.... Pure physics... Go get a new 08 truck or car with a Diesel... No more milage and efficency like there use to be...

Diesel has its place, but in a vette.... come on.... Gas engines will always..... "always dominate drag racing" (I can see it now JOHN FORCE RUNNING DIESEL POWER BECAUSE NITRO SUCKS)..... A diesel is still a diesel.... Seems funny the rave over diesels. I have seen more guys destroy their trucks by adding all the power stuff and blowing transmissions, diffs, and engines and get really pissed when GM, Ford and Dodge won't cover these under warrenty and talk all kinds of crap how they got screwed...

Diesel drags are pretty cool, but you do not know the demographics about why Banks does some much diesel stuff right now... Diesel performance parts are simple, cheap with huge profit...

Don't make this into a pissing contest....

Blessings,
