shout out to Goodies Speed Shop

Hope everyone is well. Just a quick note to share my very positive experience with Goodies Speed Shop in San Jose. After buying Tracy's (rebird) 68 Camaro I wanted to have the car dyno tuned and chose Goodies. When the car was at the shop Paul and the team noticed a few things and made quick work fixing them all. This was not the work that was scheduled but additional \ extra work and the crew at Goodies made it fit into their schedule. An awesome shop...from the owner, Tracy G. to Paul the GM to the full crew. Once we addressed a few items we then went to the dyno tuning. When all was said and done the car made 638 Ft. lbs. of torque and 593 HP AT THE REAR WHEELS!

Big credit goes to Tracy (rebird) for building an awesome car \ motor and Paul for diali'ing it in. I will scan \ digitize the dyno sheet Monday and post it to back up the claims.

Let's back it up!

OK, while a digital photograph is not as good as scanning \ digitizing the dyno sheet, this will have to do until Monday or Tuesday. Here is a link to a few digital pics of the dyno sheets.

A few things to point out:

1) The max torque was realized at 4,800 RPM's and the max HP at 5,800 RPM's

2) This is a chassis dyno (look at the lower right corner) made in New Zealand so to the dyno maker the rear (or any drive wheel) is the fly wheel. These #'s are at the rear wheels.

3) The red line was our base run and the green line is the final run.

4) Once you land on the foto-time page you should click on the thumb nail to make it 5X8 and then click on the 5X8 image to make it full screen so you can read the sheet.

Again, big thanks to rebird and Goodies! :woot:

zbugger,

It was nice to finally meet someone from the forum in person. Thanks again for the work on my Camaro. I had a chance to drive it a bit on Sunday and it is running great.

Take care,
Chris

Nice to hear it running so good Chris! As I said before that is a killer car. Great buy. Nice to hear your experience at Goodies was a good one. Although it doesn't surprise me. Those guys are on their game. I have known Paul for years and he has been around this stuff for along time. And Tracy I had just met at SEMA. Good people.

Thanks!

Brent,

Thanks for the kind words on the new 68. You know, this car exceeded my expectations. Tracy built a great car.

As for Goodies...it is a great shop. Customer service oriented and with Paul and crew very, very experienced.

Take care,
Chris

The "new" 68 Camaro

Mike,

Hope you are well. And, killer is a great name for this car. I may steal that name from you. Let's try to connect some weekend soon so I can see your car and visa versa. Give me a call on my cell when you have some time.

Take care,
Chris
