REALLY need a source for 3-Piece Wheels parts!!
 

To All:

I've been trying to find a place that can change the offset on some 3 piece kenisis wheels. I found a couple and they want a mint to do it. Plus shipping the damn things isn't cheap either.

Does anyone know:

Where I could buy the two rim pieces I need?

Do the Bolts which hold everything together need to be replaced at the same time?

Any particular warning about putting them back together?

Source information would be deeply appreciated. I would of thought these types of items would be easy to find, as there is a heck of a lot of 3-piece wheels out there.

Thanks a million in advance. This is a problem that is driving me crazy. They are beautiful wheels, but a total bitch to get parts for.

BTW: They are the Kenisis K-17's (No longer Made)

ty, it might be time to bight the bullet, sell them to someone who can use them as is, and buy a new set of 18s, as your gonna drive your car and i imagine when the car is done and a wheel got damaged you would not want to go thru this, you may want to look at forgeline or others.

I dont know what car you have but I would change to 18s just because its pretty much the standard now and they look better the 17s

Have you called Kinesis direct? Which of course is now owned by Lexani...

If you want, you can send them into me, and I can take them to Lexani to get fixed. They are 20 min away from our shop.

not sure where you are located but you can send them to me as well to have them fixed. Asanti builds my wheels and Kinesis is part of that family now. As you can imagine I have contacts over there to get them fixed quick and at a resonable rate. let me know if you are interseted

You can not just do this yourself as the wheels need to be built right and cured so they wont leak

if you would like to sell them I can help you out with a new set

Thanks for posting. Eventually, I would like to have a set of 18 inch wheels. The wheels that are on there I think look really nice, but even if I wanted to sell them I don't think I could get anything for them because of the front offset issue. I don't think they would fit any car without using a big spacer like I'm using now, plus they are just too big for me to run smaller tires so they don't rub.

I thought if I could get them put into shape, the money I spent could probably be recouped if I wanted to sell them later on.

I'll keep your ideas in mind for these. Until then I'm going to pick up some 48's from Vintage Wheel Works. I think the, "Retro", look would be fun as one of the, "Personalities", of the car.

Thanks for asking. Yes, I have called Kinesis, but since they don't currently sell the K17, they informed me that they don't repair/make changes to them. (Go figure, I would think that would be good business) At $900 each and able to be changed, it sounds like a No Brainer, Service. What do I know?

I am currently out of town, so I will contact you about your generous offer as soon as I return. (I'm at a Wedding)

Call HRE Wheels and talk to either Mark or John about changing the rim halfs. They told me a SEMA that they have the parts. Also don't cheap-out on your wheels, with out wheels the car is a big door stop, buy quality once, junk 3 times!

This is another item that I will be taking care of right after the first of the year.

I really want to get these into good shape. They are very high quality, and I would hate to just have them sit around and never get used.
