GR8T68 - Now I know why I painted it Green $$$$$
5 Attachment(s)
I finally brought the car back home. Pasquel from Marquez Designs stopped by with a set of wheels for me to try on for size from his 69 which helped a lot to determine my wheel size, offset requirements etc. Too bad they didn't fit or they would have been mine. (Thanks anyway Pasqual). Jason Walroth and his guys at Gearhead Garage installed the motor and trans and steering column etc. and have been a big help. They pay attention to the details and have a lot of experience which they are willing to share. I'm still looking for a set of headers that will work with the Ayne Due Subframe. I know the Stainless Works headers for the Wayne Due will work but would like to know if there are any other options. Anyone?

Looks killer.
I cannot imagine why you would want anything bt Stainless Works for the money. A Ceramic set of Hookers are going to be almost as much. Stainless works are awesome. I have a set on the shelf for your car I can save you a few bucks on. |
Very nice.. I think green is a very under-utilized color.. LOVE IT!
Also, good choice in years. :) Looks like a good feature car when it's done.. Oh, and thos wheels would look killer on your car. |
Good looking car, looks like a lot of room back there for a nice wide wheel and tire. Are you planning on running a strong five spoke like what Pasquel brought over?
|
Looks good! You using a truck arm?

looks great.....er GR8.....
The colour is really neat and the wheels look awesome. What kind of wheels were those and are you going to run them with different offset etc? |

I'm planning on running a 5 spoke and was originally going with the Forgeline SP3P until I saw the SO3P wheels Pasqual let me try on. I know I can fit a 12inch (maybe even 12.5) and minimum diameter will have to be 18's to clear the brakes. I have placed pictures from Forgeline's website of both styles of wheel and would like your opinions. The SP3P has a red outer lip in the picture but I would be running the polished outer lip. The rear suspension is a Truckarm with a Track 9 and I am running the Wayne Due front sub with C5 suspension pieces.

Your car looks great, I like the SP3P wheel myself!

Stainless Works has the best fit I have seen except for possibly Tylers which are killer but $$$$$. You will have the most clearance with SWs then anything else out there unless you use a shorty header. The ones on the shelf have been out of the box, bolted on and off. but if I did not tell you would never know. I will take $850 for them.
