CPP Master

Have any of you tried the CPP MCPV-1 Master Cylinder? I am thinking about ordering one for my Nova but I wanted to ask you guys what you think first. It has an adjustable proportioning valve built in. What bore size do you think I should get? I am going to be using a vacuum booster, I have the 2 piston PBR callipers up front, and for now drum in the rear. It comes in 1" or 1 1/8" sizes. If you guys don't like these what master would you run?

1-1/8: Wilwood, Baer, SSB, and ABS Brake are a few others - I don't know if there is a huge edge for the base 'entry' unit and you may be able to choose more on price and style - some circle/road track people may have some opinion. The built in proportioning valve sounds neat. I have Wilwood but it's a match set with my brakes (kind of like a stereo system - I tried to keep the same brand in brake components).

So I guess everyone thinks I should go with the 1-1/8 right? This is the brake setup I have in the front with stock drum in the rear

I would speak with the manufacturer on sizing

I think 1 1/8 will be too large resulting in a hard pedal and not enough pressure. I believe that most are running a 7/8.

The 7/8" bore is ONLY used with manual brakes. The proper power brake bore would be 1 1/8". If your doing a power brake booster, I would suggest a 7" dual diaphram unit. It is stronger and much prettier in polished stainless

Well there you go

I forgot about that. I was going off the sizing on my brakes...and they are manual. Thanks for stepping in here Frank.
