1st gen wheel backspacing

alright guys..I know this is a DEAD HORSE and i'm beating it, but I'm getting ready to pull the trigger in the morning and get some Rushforth rates-x wheels..and I see alot of you are online and I'm tired of digging through old treads..

stock UCA's and C5 brakes, 18x8 in front

:lateral: WHAT IS THE BACKSPACING??-thanks-Chris

Chris I would say 5" bs but the C5 brakes may need it to be differant? It's 5" when using stock hub/discs...I guess I will learn from this too!

Mine was very close to this on a stock UCA 67 and c5 brakes. I would go with this.

I didn't know 18s would fit, cool! Will they fit on the back of a non-tubbed 69?

The diameter of the rim does not affect the fitent of the wheel (within reason). It is the diameter of the tire that determinnes that part of fitment, a 14" rim with a 26" diameter tire is the same size as a 18" wheel with a 26" tire, the later just has a lower profile, less sidewall. And of coarse you can only go so wide no matter what diameter rims you use.

18" actually fit / work very nice.

Thanks Frank, available tire size and recommended wheel widths confuse matters worse for the backspace challenged (me!). It wasn't until I saw the BRE snowflakes that I even considered any aftermarket wheel for my other ride, my 80 TA...

I cannot do anything for you on the wheels, I do not sell them, but your welcome to call if you need to discuss sizes, etc.
