Map sensor location?

I'm considering mounting the MAP sensor behind my dash, to eliminate some clutter under the hood. Have a vacuum gauge in the dash anyway, so the vacuum is there.

Any problems with this?

the further from the actual vacuum source the slower to react, so ideally the map should be right at the intake like the OEM does. It will work behind the dash, but definitely not ideal.

I usually hide them just behind the intake/engine, so they're out of sight but no more than a couple inches of vacuum tubing between them and wherever I'm pulling vacuum from.
