Sweet Wilwood Black brakes, and ROTORS !!!

Needless to say I was very happy when I opended the brakes for the "DEMON".
The new engraving on the calipers looks great but wait , Look at the freaken Rotors!!!!!! If only the black would stay that would be so cool. This ended up fitting the build of this car perfect .
enjoy the pics. http://www.gforcedesignconcepts.com/...N/IMG_4731.jpg

Also Frank at Prodigy always hooks me up on the best Wilwood kits.
His knowledge of the brakes kits has actually made me a little lax in that department. Just pick up the phone and ask some brake questions...he spits it right out . The man knows his brakes. And the prices are oh so sweet. Honestly we only use the Wilwoods now....makes me wonder how some other companies keep selling there brakes !!

Do you think they will stay Black? I think they look great

ProdigyCustoms 01-17-2008 09:59 PM

No, the black will rub of the pad area, but the holes and slots will stay black, which even looks cooler.

Very Nice!

Frank is that rotor finish available across the whole Wilwood line?

ProdigyCustoms 01-17-2008 10:42 PM

Yes sir

You can have them done, Steve. It's just like zinc washing. Same process that they use on bolts... can't remember what it's called though.

I was talking to Wilwood about this at PRI. The finish is called "E-Coat" and is the same process the OE's use on a lot of chassis parts. It is very thin, has good salt-spray corrosion results, and will keep that area inside the fins and holes looking good much longer than the zinc wash that they have used before. They also said that the seating process will be smoother and quicker than the zinc, with less chance of gunking up your pads. Very cool looking in person.
Now all we have to do is update all our show displays, all the pictures on the website, all the catalogs......
Tim
