Which subframe is this?

So I'm always planning different things.... which subframe is this? It looks like DSE arms and their coil over system, but it doesn't look like their frame...

That is a Wayne Due frame, one of the last he built. It was to be used with stock type aftermarket arms. Scott was lucky to get one!

Thanks, I just found the thread on it.
What a loss to the community with Wayne closing shop.
Too bad he didn't sell to someone who would have carried on his work.

Yeah, I was VERY tempted to get one after seeing Scott's...but waited just a little too long to pick up the phone and call Wayne...oh well!

Wayne really should get back in the game though!!

Does he still have his Tooling and Jigs?

If he's not using them, and will not be in the future, it might be a good "Business" venture for someone.

Just think what kind of pioneer late Art Rasmussen was. I think hes the one we can thank for crating camaro hi tech subframe business. It is a loss at he passed away and now Wayne has closed ( for a while??)

not sure if either was a pioneer, no one on this site would of wanted any of the early frames, they were in the same category as martz, etc.

Yep, Wayne Due. It was jigged off a stock subframe. So basically what you're looking at is a DSE Speed III/Coilover conversion kit with ATS's A-F-X spindles mounted on a fabricated frame.

After driving Stielow's Camaro X on most of last year's Power Tour, I have NO doubt that I'll be happy with it. Camaro X has the same DSE Speed III/Coilover conversion kit with Tyler's AFX spindles. That car was incredible to drive.

Why would someone make a frame like that? It was to market to all the guys that already had tubular upper and lower control arms, big brakes for stock spindles, as well as wheels with backspacing and brake offset for a stock 1st Gen. The idea was that a person who had all that stuff could buy the bare frame, rack and sway bar from Wayne and bolt on all the rest of the stuff that they already owned.

plus it fit a 275 tire/wheel combo up front; the frame was built for extra tire/wheel clearance. Got one sitting at my house for a friends car, very nice piece.

Well now Speedtech makes a similar frame, so you can still get the look!
