Anyone bought anything from PS Engineering?

As mention in a earlier Query, I mentioned I'm looking for a set of Vintage Wheel Works, "48's", for my car. I read that they were called, "Minilites", at the time.

As I understand it and company called PS Engineering also makes the, "minilite", Style wheels in custom sizes.

I found a small amount of information about them on the internet, however no website.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this company and it's quality, service etc.?

Thanks,

Ty O'Neal

I think his name is Phil schmidt (PS), used to be a one man show, maybe still is. Sells a lot of Cobra wheels to Shelby guys, custom offsets etc. Great workmanship, but supposedly hard to get in contact with. IMO his wheels are the best looking Torque Thrust look.

American Racing also has minilites. Try PRRC or Driverz Inc

Had a set of Kidney Beans from PS on my old Rambler. I think they made the car. If you are looking for an older style non perfect billet looking wheel his are hard to top. They are hand made so expect a little rough casting but that is part of their deal that you either get or hate.

He is easier to get ahold of then before. Try early in the AM Phil 213 534 4477. He also has the matching Trans Am style lug nuts for the 5 spokes. Only up to 17" but just about any width you can dream up.

Good luck,
Brian

Most all the vintage T/A guys run Phil's stuff and the look and quality of his wheels is awesome.I've used several sets of his longer lugs on my older AR 200S wheels.I believe he still is a one-man band so the biggest complaint is always in reaching him (hard to hear over all those CNC machines:P ) but if that's the look you want,Phil's your man...

His "torque-thrust" style wheel is very sweet indeed but don't forget Vintage Wheel Works V-40 or V-45's as well.

I have 17" on my 70 Boss from Team3 and I am very happy with them. The customer service is beyond excellent.
