Budnik Fontanas for Vette
I´m having hard time with finding righ wheel specs for my 1976 vette. I would like to roll on Budnik fontanas. For front I have been thinking 17X8 and back 18X10 or 18X9,5. I´m looking to run in front 245 or 255 and in back 265 or 275 rubbers. Now, could anyone help me to determine the bs and width, that way that they will fit well without any mods.

and one note more... I would like to have that fat lip option too!

Check your first post those size's are a little weird? HAHA.. But I think you could run a 17x9 with like 5.5 bs. The rear if you are running stock wheel wells the I don't think you can go any bigger that 9.5 and bs not sure but I bet you can get at least the same as the front if not an inch more for a little more of a lip. But anything is possible if you modify it enough:unibrow:

I still would like to hear advaises from them how have a vette with budniks. Cause I have been hearing that fat lips are actually wider what they state. Is that true? I also forgot to tell that I´m from Finland and we do not have a company which would retail Budnik wheels. So I also would like to find a reliable retailer from usa. Also I would appreciate if some could give me I price range for what I´m looking for! |
Not sure how much sidewall you plan to run or how low you're going but those cars look like they're pretty roomy so if you can fit an 18, I'd run it up front with an 18 or 19 in back like the current Corvette. A 17 without a lot of sidewall will have a lot of room around it in one of those.
I know that's not what you were asking but 18s and 19s will look a lot more proportionate and modern on there. Just look at current Corvette, Viper, Ferrari, Porsche diameters. |

18s around all corners is an option but I have been looking that sertain stance for the car. I would like to have it leaning forward a bit. It should be pretty balanced even little more side wall. Now I do have whole lote unstabile sidewall and I ain´t liking it! |
