Roadtrip to Ring Brothers!

Today, Kurt (Autokraft) and I made a road trip to the Ring Brothers shop, taking up an offer by Jim and Mike to check out the absolutely stunning 69 Camaro that they are just finishing up. I can't even begin to put this car into words. It's incredible in every possible way. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the design... unreal. They've designed in a lot of tiny details that slowly unfold as you study the car. As soon as you notice one thing, you see two more details come out at you. It truly is automotive art, but what blows me away is that it's so tasteful and subtle. Every detail that they designed into it seemed as if GM wanted it that way.

Jim and Mike have given me permission (several times) to post pictures of Razor, but I'm hesitant. This car is going to be the Street Machine of the Year winner, and I don't know that it's my place to be just posting snapshots of this work of art.

I want to thank Mike and Jim again for allowing Kurt and I to interrupt most of their Saturday so we could take in the car from front to rear. If they didn't have to run an errand late in the afternoon, I'd STILL be there.

The bar has been raised.

Here are a few teaser shots. Look for more images coming soon as I talk to Ring Brothers again.

Also while we were there, we got the tour of their CNC machine shop. Here are some eye candy detail shots of their billet hood hinges and hood pins that were ready for assemby. I LOVE detail and precision, so I couldn't help but take these shots that show the beauty of these parts. Form follows function, but at Ring Brothers, execution is every bit as important.

I would of sat in the back seat for a ride just to check out the shop. I can just imagine some of the awesome stuff they got hanging around.
