DSE deep tubs
 

Does anyone know how far the DSE deep tubs go towards the rear frame rail on a 68 Nova, or will the frame rail have to be notched? I want to widen my wheelhouses, but don't want to touch the frame rails. I was also thinking about getting new wheelhouses and welding in a piece to widen them.

With the DSE tubs it will be necassary to get into the frame. About an inch or so inch and quarter at the most.

If you don't want to cut the frame you can just cut the section between the tub and frame out. This is the section that houses the upper shock mount. It would be necassary to relocate them. You can then hammer the tub wider OR add a 1 1/2" section to the tub.

Thanks for the reply. I had hammered my wheelhouses wider, but just don't like the way it looks so I'm thinking about getting new ones. The old ones aren't in that great of shape anyways.
