Frankenstang gets it's 15 minutes of fame...
Thanks to a certain member (Steven Rupp), I have finally achieved a dream. It is not a feature, but Hometown Hot-Rodding is nothing to sneeze at. Page 19 of the April 08 PHR has a picture I took and a little story on my car. I scanned the page and it came out well, I just can seen to upload it to my site?
I suck at the internet. Oh, and BTW to Jeff, thanks for ruining my surprise!!! |
See if this link works;

Looks good Joe!!! Congrats on the accomplishment!!! That looks like it would be a fun car to beat the crap out of.

Congrats!!!

Looks good
Joe,
Congrats. Your car looks great. Chris |
Technically you get your 30-days of fame ;)
Congrats, it's a cool car and you certainly put a lot of work into it. :thumbsup: Sorry about the last name deal.. I generally cut and paste them from the info I'm sent, but it could have been flubbed up along the way. |
I still have to fill out the tech sheet for the Modified Mustangs guys. It's -5 today and I'm NOT going outside. Might as well get it done today. I just hope they are still interested in doing the story. Thanks Steve.

Awesome! I like to see someone else giving a little love to the split-spoke wheels. I'm running them on my '89 coupe right now. I was pretty pumped when my car made it into PHR in the Hometown Hot Rodders section.
The Fox bodies are getting some Love! Later, Brandon |
That 67 is bitchin' I'm a huge fan of the gasser look. I've had a gasser 79 Monte Carlo design in my warped mind for a while now.
The rear wheels were widened to 9.5" and now I can run 275 Nitto without issues. My mentor Jeff has suggested a wheel change might draw some more attention from the judging crowd. The car looks too much like one Ford would have built. I guess that was my intention all along. There's no way I can afford the true 'PT' look. I found some dare I say, 'knock-offs' from a certain Communist country that are cheap enough to get the job done. Then I will run an 18x9 or 9.5 if I can get the correct backspacing. Oh and there's a 2003 Cobra IRS under the car, in case you missed that! |
